Can't Believe it's my platter :P

Bengali Foodie

Bengali is a land of rich culture but not only that its a land of foodies and various foods. At times even I am surprised that for every occasion and every season there has to be something special on platter.
It's like inbuilt feature which calls for seasonal food in Bong's :P
It's Rainy day and that calls for Khichdi ( khichudi in a bengali words ),  rich with spices and veggies. and with that calls for fries, Beguni ( brinjal cut into long pieces and then dipped into flour batter and deep fried)
and for authentic Bengali also fried fish. and Aaloo bhaja ( kinda french fries )

One irritating part lastly Ghee or butter is added which boost its flavor. Irritating because its fragrance churns your stomach and drives you to table and all my dieting plan breaks :(
Though you will enjoy this bengali style but the bhog khichdi ( khichdi which offered to Gods and then to devotees ) is much more mouth watering and I with many others never mind to stand in long queue for that. I never figured out what secret they add even though we all made in same manner,I guess the touch of God blessing made it a heavenly food.
Oh yes forgot to add, it ends with Rasgulla as sweet... damn Am again Hungry now :(
