I am pleased with the pace of developments happening in kolkata and thanks to our CM Mamata Banerjee. But then also I feel she has taken some wrong decisions like our previous government body, waving of water tax is an example.
I can’t take as a puja gift to us, these taxes are the great source of accumulating funds under the govt. treasure which they can use for our benefit. The present lifestyle we are living it will not be a great problem for any citizen n to pay a small amount. Our CM must keep in mind that now Bengal is in first position amongst the other states under debt which is not at all a good sign. Last evening when a few of my friends and some of party supporters sharing our views, some ideas came out which I think is simply great and I am writing this post to share that and also luv to listen from the readers their ideas.
1. Tax should be implemented on water and as rent.
2. The system should think of Man-policing by which govt can earn much revenue similar to the work of R
ailway TT and traffic police. For example citizens have adapted to very bad habit of breaking law like spitting, using plastics and throwing anywhere they feel unlike the West where people are strictly avoiding. So if Govt can form a body which recruits man force in different idea to collect fines from the citizen breaking the law.
These can help govt in 2 ways first it will help them to make city look clean, secondly these rules make citizen feel their responsibilities and third a lot of revenue, estimated a minimum of lakh per day.
3. Govt. should use the manpower well to recruit more traffic and police personnels and provide proper devices to handle the miscreants. One policeman can never handle the accidents and fights happening on the road almost everyday.
4.There should be ambulances to handle ASAP cases and personnels should also be trained for such situations.
5.Traffic policemen should provide bikes
6.More well trained policemen needed.
7.It says good job should be started from home so when govt is saying it wants to generate job then besides calling more and more industrialist to kolkata it should create job under her governance to avoid brain drain. We have many engineers in Bengal than other states.
These are a few ideas which I am pretty sure if implanted, surely we can soon see a different and elegant Kolkata much more beautiful and stronger than London.

one has to understand that, we can't create revenue by mere man-policing and such petty things like by taxing water. and that too when the state provides water.
So every state is applying taxes on water , y nt bengal? and man-policing nt only creates job but also revenue even if small margin but tht will be converted into salary......thr aremillions of ppl in bengal unemployed
we have millions of ppl here and all have addicted to bad habbits so itz the idea of meking thm responcibl. y shud v complain to govt only??
Jobs by man policing; it is like keeping the city clean for elites, there are many more things in bengal that need to be addressed immedieately. Bengal needs industry, manufacturing so that long term goals are met in clear-numbers, not in numbers which does not even match the expenses;
u r ryt but thz are long term, cleaning for elites or common watz d difference if city looks gd lyk london it will attract tourist again a revenue..m toking of revenue, mony hich bengal nids and so as ppl... thy nid source of income atlst to hv daily food..job will hlp erase hunger.
